We are seeking to hire a Video Editor with at least 5 years of experience to be a part of our team in Nicosia. The ideal candidate should be able to edit a variety of video production projects and must be a superior visual storyteller, able to develop, create and execute the highest quality television and digital productions.
Responsibilities:
- Edit and prepare all required trailers for Cablenet’s TV channels
- Edit, encode and upload video and other digital assets in a timely fashion, under shifting deadlines and pressures
- Ability to tell visual stories through editing with pictures and sound
- Use creativity to edit the video with the viewer in mind, ensuring that the final product will capture the attention of the viewer for the duration of the video
- Manage media storage and retrieval; ensuring all digital files are saved and digitally catalogued
- Continues learning and improving editing skills by committing to seek out all methods of professional development available from webinars, professional reading, to conferences
- Interacting with marketing and media team members, to ensure that everything comes together appropriately
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in Film production, Digital Media & Communication or in a related field is required
- At least 5-year work experience, specialized in trailer creation
- Good knowledge of video and audio composition
- Experienced in nonlinear editing software (eg. Avid Media Composer, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
- A working knowledge of special effects, 3D and composing will be considered an advantage
- Ability to accept input from creative teams within and outside of the organization
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Media Asset Management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
